This clinician provides IV infusion and critical care services for patients in a mobile, remote care setting, using clinical assessment and established protocols to select and administer appropriate therapies. Care includes reviewing histories, monitoring patient responses, managing infusion-related complications, and educating patients on treatment, side effects, and aftercare. The role also involves telehealth-supported follow-up, documentation, and coordination with physicians and other clinicians to support continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and review medical histories to determine appropriate IV therapies.
- Administer IV infusions and monitor patients for response and adverse reactions.
- Manage infusion-related complications and respond to urgent clinical changes as needed.
- Provide education on treatment plans, side effects, and aftercare instructions.
- Document care accurately and maintain adherence to safety and infection-control standards.
- Coordinate with physicians and other clinicians to support treatment decisions and follow-up care.
- Use telehealth or digital tools to support remote monitoring and continuity of care.
Required
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state(s).
- Experience in critical care nursing or critical care medicine.
- Experience in emergency nursing or emergency medicine.
- Proficiency in IV insertion, infusion therapy, and patient monitoring.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, mobile care model.
- Current or up-to-date clinical certifications such as BLS and ACLS.
Preferred
- Prior experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or outpatient infusion settings.
- Experience working in telehealth-supported care workflows.
