This clinician provides virtual medication abortion care and other sexual and reproductive health services to patients through video, phone, and asynchronous visits. The role includes reviewing intake information, determining treatment plans, prescribing medications, and following up on patient care through a telemedicine platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual visits by video, phone, and asynchronous messaging.
- Review patient intake responses and assess suitability for treatment.
- Provide medication abortion care and other sexual and reproductive health services.
- Determine treatment plans and prescribe medications to mail-order or local pharmacies.
- Communicate with patients through a HIPAA-compliant messaging app and live appointments.
- Respond to patient inquiries that require further medical evaluation.
- Direct nursing staff on referrals and additional prescriptions as needed.
- Coordinate follow-up care with nursing and patient advocate teams.
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner credential.
- Experience providing reproductive, sexual, or telehealth-based clinical care.
- Ability to work part time on Thursday and Saturday shifts.
- Availability for one on-call shift outside scheduled hours.
Preferred
- Spanish language fluency.
