Provide virtual medication abortion care for patients through an online platform, including reviewing intake information, assessing eligibility, and conducting visits by video, phone, or asynchronous messaging. Support patients seeking reproductive and sexual health care in a telemedicine model, with follow-up questions, medication prescribing, and coordination with nursing and patient advocate teams. This role is part-time, requires Spanish fluency, and includes scheduled shifts with one on-call shift outside regular hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth visits for medication abortion care by video, phone, or asynchronous communication.
- Review patient intake responses and determine eligibility for online medication abortion treatment.
- Communicate with patients through a HIPAA-compliant messaging app and live appointments.
- Prescribe medications through a mail-order pharmacy or coordinate local pharmacy pickup.
- Respond to medical inquiries that require further medical evaluation.
- Direct nursing staff on referrals and additional prescriptions as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing and patient advocate teams for education, support, and follow-up review.
Required
- Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent advanced practice clinician credential.
- Spanish language fluency.
- Ability to work part time and one on-call shift outside scheduled hours.
- Experience providing reproductive health or medication abortion care preferred by role focus, if not explicitly required.
Preferred
- Experience with telemedicine or virtual care.
