Provide on-demand telehealth video visits for adults with common acute and primary care needs, including respiratory infections, UTIs, sore throat, ear and eye infections, and medication refill requests. The role also includes comprehensive virtual evaluations for chronic care management eligibility, patient education, treatment recommendations, and follow-up guidance. Work is fully remote through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform with electronic documentation and e-prescribing of non-controlled medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct video visits for acute and primary care concerns in a telehealth setting.
- Evaluate and treat common conditions such as upper respiratory illness, UTIs, sore throat, and ear or eye infections.
- Assess patients for chronic care management eligibility.
- Provide health education, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
- Electronically prescribe non-controlled medications and order labs when clinically appropriate.
- Issue medical, work, and school excuse notes when appropriate.
- Refer patients to in-person care when needed.
- Document encounters in a telehealth EHR using SOAP templates.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- At least 4 years of hands-on primary care or urgent care experience in the U.S.
- Ability to provide efficient, patient-centered care in a virtual setting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred
- Multi-state licensure.
- Active Letter of Qualification from a state in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
