Provide clinical and strategic guidance on sports medicine-focused healthcare startups, with attention to musculoskeletal care, injury prevention, rehabilitation, concussion care, and performance health. This remote advisory role also supports evaluation of business models, clinical fit, scalability, patient impact, and commercialization strategy across startup and venture studio projects. The position is flexible and centered on sharing physician expertise, industry insight, and practical recommendations in periodic advisory discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and strategic guidance on startups in sports medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, digital health, medical devices, and healthcare AI.
- Support evaluation of founders, business models, workflow fit, scalability, clinical relevance, and social impact potential.
- Advise entrepreneurs and portfolio companies on physician adoption, patient care pathways, rehabilitation models, clinical validation, and go-to-market considerations.
- Offer introductions and subject matter expertise across sports medicine, physical therapy, health systems, and startup ecosystems.
- Participate in periodic advisory discussions and contribute practical recommendations based on clinical experience.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Experience practicing sports medicine.
- Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month.
Preferred
- Board certification or fellowship training in sports medicine.
- Experience in musculoskeletal care, primary care sports medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, or concussion management.
- Experience with regenerative medicine, digital health, medical devices, healthcare AI, startups, investing, advisory work, or healthcare innovation.
