In this advisory role, the clinician or healthcare leader provides strategic guidance on healthcare innovation, startup evaluation, and physician alignment within a physician-backed venture platform. The work is primarily focused on advising a venture capital fund, venture studio, and healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem rather than direct patient care. This is a flexible, remote position with periodic participation in board-related discussions and relationship-building across the healthcare and startup communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on growth, positioning, partnerships, investment focus, and long-term vision.
- Advise on healthcare market trends, emerging opportunities, founder support, and social impact strategy.
- Contribute perspective across clinical care, healthcare operations, digital health, biotech, medical devices, pharma, payer/provider strategy, healthcare AI, investing, or entrepreneurship.
- Support the organization through introductions, network-building, and ecosystem development.
- Participate in periodic board-related discussions and offer thoughtful recommendations based on professional expertise.
Required
- Significant experience in healthcare, medicine, life sciences, venture capital, startups, healthcare operations, digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare AI, or related fields.
- Ability to provide strategic, practical, and mission-aligned guidance.
- Ability to commit approximately 2-4 hours per month to advisory activities.
Preferred
- Senior leadership, board, advisory, investing, entrepreneurial, clinical, executive, or operating experience.
- Strong professional network within healthcare, investment, startup, clinical, hospital, payer, provider, pharma, biotech, or health technology ecosystems.
