Provide clinical and strategic guidance on adult internal medicine, especially primary care, chronic disease management, preventive care, care coordination, hospital medicine, and value-based care. This flexible advisory role also involves evaluating healthcare startups, advising on workflow fit and clinical relevance, and sharing practical insight on digital health, population health, telehealth, and healthcare AI. The work is remote and centered on periodic participation with founders, operators, and other healthcare leaders in a venture capital and venture studio setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and strategic guidance on adult medicine startups and care delivery models.
- Evaluate healthcare companies for clinical relevance, workflow fit, scalability, and patient impact.
- Advise on internal medicine workflows, clinician adoption, and adult patient care needs.
- Contribute insight on primary care, chronic disease management, preventive care, care coordination, and hospital medicine.
- Offer subject matter expertise in value-based care, population health, digital health, telehealth, and healthcare AI.
- Participate in advisory discussions and share practical recommendations from clinical experience.
- Support commercialization strategy and provide introductions or industry connections when appropriate.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Experience practicing internal medicine.
- Ability to commit approximately 2-4 hours per month.
Preferred
- Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine.
- Experience in adult primary care, hospital medicine, chronic disease management, value-based care, population health, telehealth, digital health, healthcare AI, startups, investing, advisory work, or healthcare innovation.
- Strong understanding of internal medicine workflows, care coordination, preventive care, and barriers to healthcare technology adoption.
