Provide emergency medicine expertise to evaluate and advise healthcare startups focused on acute care, urgent care, triage, patient flow, digital health, medical devices, and healthcare AI. This is a remote advisory role centered on clinical insight, workflow fit, and practical adoption considerations rather than direct patient care. The work is flexible and suited to physicians interested in healthcare innovation, investing, and helping founders build clinically relevant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and strategic guidance on startups in emergency medicine, acute care, urgent care, triage, and related areas.
- Support evaluation of founders, business models, clinical relevance, workflow fit, scalability, and social impact potential.
- Advise on emergency department workflows, clinician adoption, operational realities, patient safety, and commercialization strategy.
- Offer introductions and subject matter expertise across emergency medicine, hospital systems, healthcare technology, and startup ecosystems.
- Participate in advisory discussions and contribute recommendations based on clinical experience.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Experience practicing emergency medicine.
- Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to advisory activities.
Preferred
- Board certification or board eligibility in emergency medicine.
- Experience in clinical operations, hospital leadership, digital health, medical devices, healthcare AI, urgent care, acute care, telehealth, startups, investing, advisory work, or healthcare innovation.
- Strong understanding of emergency department workflows, patient flow, triage, care coordination, and barriers to healthcare technology adoption.
