Description

Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic support for patients enrolled in PHP and IOP behavioral health programs. The role centers on crisis support, treatment planning, and ongoing psychiatric follow-up for individuals with mental health conditions in a structured outpatient setting. Clinicians collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other team members in a team-based care model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and intake assessments for PHP/IOP patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric findings.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and other clinicians.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in the PHP/IOP setting.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
Required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or qualification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current, unrestricted state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • At least 1 year of experience prescribing medication.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, psychiatric medications, and treatment modalities.
Preferred
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting, including PHP and/or IOP.
