Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic support for patients enrolled in PHP and IOP programs. This role focuses on behavioral health care in an onsite partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient setting, with close collaboration across psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other clinicians. The position also includes crisis support, patient/family education, documentation, and participation in team-based treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and intake assessments for PHP/IOP patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring response and side effects.
- Provide ongoing medication management and adjust care plans as needed.
- Coordinate care with therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and other team members.
- Provide crisis intervention and support in the PHP/IOP setting.
- Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.
- Document patient interactions and treatment in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medications.
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards for psychiatric services.
Required
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant.
- Current, unrestricted state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- At least 1 year of experience prescribing medication.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, psychiatric medications, and treatment modalities.
- Ability to manage complex cases and respond effectively to crisis situations.
Preferred
- Experience in a behavioral health setting, including PHP and/or IOP.
