This nurse practitioner role focuses on conducting virtual Good Faith Exams for patients seeking aesthetics, IV hydration, and wellness treatments, including injectables, laser services, chemical peels, sexual health, hormone replacement therapy, and weight loss. The clinician verifies candidacy, assesses risk, and supports safe, compliant treatment decisions through telehealth. Day to day, the role also includes answering member questions, managing adverse event escalations, and maintaining accurate documentation in collaboration with clinical and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough video-based Good Faith Exams to assess patient candidacy for virtual treatment pathways.
- Evaluate patients across aesthetics and wellness services, including injectables, laser treatments, chemical peels, sexual health, HRT, IV hydration, and weight loss.
- Verify patient residency and ensure documentation meets state-specific legal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor treatment requests and flag cases that fall outside approved scope of practice.
- Provide clinical guidance to member practitioners on dosing, protocols, and complication management.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership, member support, and compliance teams on training, protocol updates, and adverse event escalations.
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems and use telehealth messaging tools as part of daily workflow.
- Participate in required training webinars to stay current on supported procedures and safety practices.
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, aesthetics, medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery.
- Experience working in telehealth, EMR systems, and asynchronous messaging tools.
- Ability to work from a quiet, professional, distraction-free workspace for patient calls.
Preferred
- Additional state NP licenses.
- Deep familiarity with aesthetics and wellness treatments, including risks and contraindications.
- Availability during evenings and weekends.
- Experience building rapport quickly with patients through virtual visits.
- Confidence managing adverse events or clinical complications.
