Provide virtual psychiatric assessment and medication management for children and adolescents with mild to moderate mental health conditions. This role also includes brief follow-up support between sessions, coordination with licensed therapists and other providers, and participation in team meetings and clinical supervision. The practice is built around digital tools, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based care for families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care, including assessment and medication management, for children and adolescents in a telehealth setting.
- Implement medication treatment plans for mild to moderate mental health disorders.
- Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with licensed therapists and other internal providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and outside providers as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Message between sessions to support patients and communicate with other providers.
- Adhere to platform guidelines, policies, and required training.
- Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, and team meetings.
- Provide software and operational feedback to help improve workflows and care delivery.
Required
- Fully licensed PMHNP-BC in New York.
- ANCC board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
- At least 1 year of post-clinical PMHNP experience working with children and adolescents.
- Reliable high-speed internet access.
- DEA number, or willingness to obtain one.
- NPI number, or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- 3 or more years of experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with diverse populations and diagnoses.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
