About the role
We are seeking senior retina specialists to grade diabetic retinopathy on retinal images for an AI training project. Work is fully remote and runs through a defined pilot and production window.
Grade color fundus images against the DRSS / ETDRS severity scale
Read Optos ultra-widefield images using the ETDRS 7-field template
Follow the client's grading protocol and instructions with consistency and precision
Complete onboarding, training, and a pilot before production grading
Required qualifications
US board-certified in ophthalmology
Retina subspecialty (fellowship) training
5+ years of post-training experience
Demonstrated prior DRSS or ETDRS image grading, such as reading center or clinical trial grading
Comfortable reading color fundus images
Hands-on experience with Optos ultra-widefield images and the 7-field template
Availability for ~10 hrs/week from October 26 through December 1, 2026
