We're hiring two physicians to serve as IMO Reviewers on veteran disability claims. In this role you'll bring specialty-level clinical judgment to record review, producing Independent Medical Opinions and nexus letters for VA review.
What you'll do
Review medical records, service history, and prior evaluations for each veteran claim.
Prepare Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) grounded in your specialty expertise.
Author nexus letters establishing the medical link between a condition and military service, with rigorous, well-reasoned clinical support.
Provide authoritative opinions that reflect current medical standards and the VA evidentiary framework.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted MD/DO license and board certification (internal medicine, family medicine, and psychiatry are preferred)
Multi-state licensure a plus given the remote review nature of the work.
Strong medical writing and analytical skills.
Preferred background
Prior experience with C&P (Compensation & Pension) exams or other VA-related work is a strong plus.
Veterans and veteran spouses are strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the VA disability claims process and IMO writing is important.
Multi-state licensure is a plus given remote review work
Compensation
Compensation is given on a per-task basis, at $143 per IMO/nexus letter
Paid on a 1099 basis.
Minimum of 5 hours/week
