As a Medical Evidence Examiner, you'll author Independent Medical Opinions supporting veteran disability claims. You'll work from veteran medical records to produce the DBQs, examinations, and nexus letters the VA relies on to evaluate service-connected conditions. The role is remote and volume-flexible - a strong fit for PAs who want meaningful, mission-driven work on their own schedule.
What you'll do
Review veteran medical records, service records, and claim materials.
Complete DBQs and medical evidence examinations to VA standards.
Write nexus letters that connect a diagnosed condition to military service with clear clinical justification.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted PA license in your state of practice.
NCCPA certification required.
Strong medical record-review and writing ability.
Preferred background
Prior experience with C&P (Compensation & Pension) exams or other VA-related work is a strong plus.
Veterans and veteran spouses are strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the VA disability claims process and IMO writing is important.
Compensation
Compensation is given on a per-task basis on a 1099 contract
Minimum of 5 hours/week
