Provide remote clinical oversight for dermatology physician assistants, reviewing patient care plans, treatment protocols, and documentation while supporting safe, evidence-based care. The role also includes chart review, quality assurance, provider education, and collaboration with clinical and operational leaders to improve workflows and outcomes. This is a flexible remote supervisory position within a multidisciplinary, population-health-oriented practice serving a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote supervision and clinical oversight for dermatology physician assistants.
- Review and advise on patient care plans, treatment protocols, and clinical documentation.
- Conduct periodic chart reviews and support quality assurance standards.
- Be available for clinical consultation and guidance during designated business hours.
- Participate in departmental meetings, provider education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing development of dermatology PAs.
- Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to optimize workflows and patient outcomes.
- Ensure timely completion of supervisory documentation and regulatory requirements.
Required
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology.
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license.
- DEA license and CDS registration, if applicable.
Preferred
- At least 3 years of clinical dermatology experience.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience working in a remote supervision model.
- Experience with EMR systems.
