Description

Provide virtual medical care for children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders, including comprehensive assessment, monitoring of medical stability, and treatment of co-occurring medical issues. Work as part of a multidisciplinary care team to support recovery across the lifespan, with additional responsibility for supervising nursing staff and advanced practice providers. The role is fully remote, includes both direct patient care and administrative work, and uses electronic medical record messaging and team meetings to coordinate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for patients with eating disorders across the lifespan.
  • Monitor vital signs, labs, and other medical data to assess medical stability.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment for co-occurring medical conditions related to eating disorders.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, dietitians, peer mentors, family mentors, nurses, medical assistants, and outside providers.
  • Use electronic medical record messaging to communicate with patients, supports, and the treatment team.
  • Document care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, continuing education, and department meetings.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff and advanced practice providers.
Required
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics.
  • Ability to see patients across the lifespan.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one state.
  • At least 3 years of clinical practice experience.
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
Preferred
  • Experience supervising or closely collaborating with advanced practice providers.
  • Telehealth or virtual care delivery experience.
  • Experience in eating disorder medical management.
  • Experience monitoring medical stability and coordinating care for patients with eating disorders.
  • Experience in high-acuity, high-volume clinical environments.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment with changing priorities.

  • Salary range of $210,000 to $290,000 annually plus up to 15% performance bonus potential.
