Provide virtual nursing support for patients with eating disorders, focusing on medically stable patients and coordination with medical and psychiatric providers. The role centers on monitoring labs and vitals, triaging patient and family questions, and delivering condition-specific education and medical management support. Care is fully remote and team-based, with collaboration across internal clinicians and external providers when patients need stabilization or step-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing support for a panel of medically stable patients with eating disorders.
- Monitor and triage lab orders and results, and communicate provider instructions to patients and families.
- Coordinate care between internal medical/psychiatric providers and external clinicians or facilities.
- Manage the RN phone line and respond to patient and family questions using triage protocols.
- Provide condition-specific education and medical management support to patients and families.
- Triage emergent issues in a timely manner according to established clinical protocols.
- Coordinate transitions of care with hospitals for medical stabilization admissions and return to program or higher level of care.
- Complete accommodation paperwork and other assigned clinical support tasks.
Required
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in at least one U.S. state; compact license preferred.
- At least 2 years of RN experience in a clinic, home care, ambulatory, hospital, or inpatient setting.
- Experience coordinating care with multiple providers and patient support systems.
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary care team.
- Ability to work autonomously within clinical protocols and prioritize multiple requests.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred
- Compact RN license.
