Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical necessity reviews for neurological surgery treatment requests and appeals.
- Provide advisory-only determinations without establishing a doctor-patient relationship.
- Review organized medical records and treatment guidelines to support case decisions.
- Participate in peer-to-peer calls when adverse determinations require additional discussion.
- Work within a case flow that includes administrative coordination and report delivery support.
Required
- Current, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Board certification in the relevant specialty.
- Active clinical practice.
