Conduct per diem medical disability examinations for U.S. Veterans, providing objective internal medicine evaluations that help determine service-connected benefits. The work is focused on clear, timely disability assessments rather than ongoing primary care, and it supports a backlog of examinations in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical disability examinations for Veterans.
- Provide objective clinical evaluations to support service-connected benefit determinations.
- Review relevant history and document exam findings clearly and accurately.
- Help reduce the backlog of pending VA disability examinations.
- Coordinate with the Department of Veterans Affairs process as needed for completed exams.
Required
- Licensed Internal Medicine Physician.
- Medical degree and active physician licensure.
- Ability to complete per diem disability examinations.
Preferred
- Experience with disability examinations or medical evaluations for benefits determinations.
- Experience working with Veterans or the VA system.
