This role involves performing disability peer reviews by reviewing medical records and providing independent opinions on functional limitations, restrictions, and disability status. It is a telework, advisory-only position with no patient treatment or doctor-patient relationship. The work is case-based and can be scheduled within a standard Monday through Friday workweek.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and assess claimant functionality, restrictions, and limitations related to disability benefits.
- Provide independent, professional written opinions based on the clinical evidence in the chart.
- Maintain compliance with client turnaround times while selecting case volume and service types based on availability.
- Use a case review portal and organized medical record materials to complete determinations and reports.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to support review quality and process consistency.
Required
- Board certification in Otolaryngology.
- Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Ability to complete required orientation and training.
- Maintenance of credentialing, licenses, and any required certifications.

- Disability peer review experience.
