Review dental and medical records as an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinical reviewer, providing objective, evidence-based advisory opinions on surgical care, treatment plans, and documentation. This role focuses on written case reviews for oral, dental, and maxillofacial conditions rather than direct patient care, peer-to-peer discussions, or treatment. It is a fully remote independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and case selection based on availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical and dental records for oral and maxillofacial surgery cases.
- Evaluate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and applicable records.
- Prepare clear, concise written clinical summaries and advisory opinions.
- Respond to client questions related to oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental care.
- Apply evidence-based clinical standards when assessing procedures and conditions.
- Use the online work portal to complete organized case reviews.
- Coordinate with administrative support and client communications handled by the practice.
Required
- DMD, DDS, or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited dental program.
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
- Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Active, unrestricted Nevada dental license.
- Current residence in Reno, Nevada.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Preferred
- Experience reviewing complex medical and dental records.
- Strong written communication skills for objective, concise case summaries.
- Comfort with advisory, non-treatment clinical review work.
