Board-certified psychiatrists conduct independent medical examinations for patients with psychiatric and mental health conditions, reviewing records and performing mostly in-person assessments. The work centers on providing objective medical opinions for insurance-related case questions and producing clear IME reports on a short turnaround. Cases are offered on a contract basis with flexible scheduling, and records are provided in advance to support the evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review psychiatric and mental health records before the examination
- Conduct in-person psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Provide objective medical opinions in response to case-specific questions
- Prepare clear, comprehensive IME reports within the expected turnaround time
- Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal format
Required
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Experience performing psychiatric evaluations
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on a contract 1099 basis
