Board-certified neurologists perform in-person independent medical examinations for patients with neurological conditions and injuries, reviewing records and providing objective medical opinions for insurance-related questions. The work is focused on IME assessments and report writing rather than ongoing treatment, with cases assigned based on availability. Most exams are face-to-face, and all relevant records are provided in advance to support the evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records related to neurological conditions and injuries.
- Conduct in-person neurological examinations and evaluations.
- Provide objective medical opinions and answer clinical questions from insurance carriers.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive IME reports within the expected turnaround time.
- Work cases scheduled according to availability.
Required
- Board certification in Neurology.
- Experience as a neurologist.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior independent medical examination experience.
