This role reviews physician reports for completeness, clinical accuracy, and client-specific requirements in a remote, work-from-home setting. The work centers on communicating with physicians, clients, and management to resolve questions, obtain clarifications or addenda, and keep reports moving to final approval. It also includes quality review of formatting, grammar, state reporting requirements, and turnaround time.
Key Responsibilities
- Review physician reports for clinical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client and jurisdictional standards.
- Communicate with clients to provide status updates, clarify questions, and coordinate addendum requests.
- Work directly with physicians and office staff to request clarifications, confirm report approval, and obtain signatures.
- Check report format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and required state reporting elements.
- Coordinate final report delivery and ensure special handling instructions are followed.
- Provide feedback to physicians on report quality and support timely report completion.
- Participate in process improvement efforts to reduce clarification requests and improve turnaround time.
- Support quality issue reviews and coordinate with clinical operations leadership as needed.
Required
- Current LPN or RN license.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, physicians, and management.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and deadline management skills.
- Computer literacy and typing proficiency.
- Ability to work from home with a reliable, uninterrupted internet connection.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Business experience in a healthcare or insurance setting.
