The QA Specialist reviews physician reports for clinical accuracy, completeness, formatting, and compliance with client and jurisdictional requirements before final release. This role also coordinates clarification requests, communicates with physicians and clients, and helps ensure reports are delivered on time. It is a remote, computer-based position with regular weekday, evening, or weekend schedule options.
Key Responsibilities
- Review physician reports for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clinical rationale.
- Evaluate reports against client-specific, state, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Coordinate clarification, addendum, and missing-information requests with clients and physicians.
- Provide status updates and follow up to support on-time report delivery.
- Communicate feedback to physicians and office staff regarding report quality.
- Approve cases for release to the client after required checks are complete.
- Collaborate with management and clinical operations to improve turnaround time and reduce report returns.
- May oversee the work of team members and participate in quality issue review.
Required
- Active LPN or RN license.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage deadlines.
- Computer literacy and typing skills.
