The work is focused on clinical decision-making rather than patient treatment, with case selection and volume managed through a flexible contractor arrangement. Administrative tasks, record organization, and case preparation are handled through a streamlined review workflow, with training and ongoing support available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct disability peer reviews and issue advisory-only medical opinions.
- Review medical records to assess endocrine, diabetes, and related disability claims.
- Use a structured case portal to complete reviews and document determinations.
- Coordinate with the support team on communication, records, and case preparation.
- Follow required turnaround times for case completion.
- Participate in a telework-based review process with no patient treatment or doctor-patient relationship.
Required
- Board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Endocrinology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.

- Experience conducting disability peer reviews.
