This telework role focuses on independent review of disability-related clinical cases for patients with colorectal and other medical concerns. The physician evaluates records, writes clinical summaries, and responds to client questions as part of an advisory-only review process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical record reviews for disability peer review cases.
- Provide concise clinical summaries based on the available documentation.
- Engage in peer-to-peer communications and answer client-specific clinical questions.
- Use medical judgment to assess case details and support healthcare determinations.
- Coordinate with administrative support teams that organize records and manage case flow.
- Participate in a telework-based workflow with cases selected according to scheduled availability.
Required
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.
- Board certification in Colon & Rectal Surgery / Colorectal Surgery.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice or active practice experience.
Preferred
- Experience conducting disability peer reviews.
