The clinician reviews prepared medical records for rheumatology-related cases and provides expert, advisory-only opinions on a claimant’s current condition and possible future medical needs. This is a record-review-only role with no face-to-face patient interaction or treatment. Work is fully remote with flexible scheduling, and cases are accepted or declined based on availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of prepared medical records.
- Provide advisory opinions on current condition and potential future medical needs.
- Respond to clinical questions to support claims management.
- Deliver clear, well-supported written reports within the expected turnaround time.
- Review cases without face-to-face interaction with claimants.
- Use the online portal and streamlined workflow to complete assigned reviews.
Required
- Board certification in Rheumatology.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience with medical record reviews, IMEs, or peer reviews.
