Provide independent, advisory-only medical record reviews for clinical cases, focusing on your specialty area and answering payer/client questions. Work is fully telework-based and centers on written case evaluation, clinical summaries, and peer-to-peer communication rather than direct patient care. The role is structured as a 1099 contractor arrangement with flexible scheduling and case selection based on your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and evaluate clinical cases within your specialty.
- Prepare clinical summaries and written determinations based on the record review.
- Respond to specific questions from clients and participate in peer communications as needed.
- Use the provided case materials and treatment guidelines to support clinical opinions.
- Work through the case management portal and follow the organization’s review workflow.
- Maintain timely and high-quality completion of advisory reports.
Required
- Board certified physician.
- Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Willingness to complete required orientation and training.
- Ability to maintain required credentialing, licenses, and certifications.
Preferred
- Experience in one of the following specialties: Hematology/Medical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Pediatric Hematology/Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, Pain Management, PM&R, or Sleep Medicine.
