Conduct telework-based clinical record reviews for advisory-only medical assessments, focusing on cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine, or sleep medicine cases. Evaluate medical records, prepare clinical summaries, and respond to specific questions from clients without establishing a doctor-patient relationship or providing treatment. This independent contractor role emphasizes case review work, with support from a streamlined workflow, organized records, and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and related clinical documentation for assigned cases.
- Provide clear clinical summaries and determinations based on the case materials.
- Participate in peer-to-peer communications as needed to clarify case questions.
- Respond to client-specific questions related to medical necessity, care, or documentation.
- Use a web-based work portal to complete reviews and access case materials.
- Follow treatment guidelines and chronological medical record summaries provided for each case.
- Support timely completion of advisory reports and determinations.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification.
- Current, unrestricted Minnesota medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Ability to complete required orientation and training.
- Maintain required credentialing, licensure, and certifications.
