This role focuses on independent medical record reviews for a variety of clinical cases, with advisory opinions provided in specialties such as dermatology, rheumatology, family practice, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, hematology/oncology, allergy-immunology, pediatrics, and podiatry. Work is telework-based and centers on reviewing charts, preparing clinical summaries, and responding to client questions rather than direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical record reviews for assigned clinical cases.
- Provide written clinical summaries and advisory opinions.
- Participate in peer-to-peer communications as needed.
- Answer specific questions submitted by clients.
- Review case materials and treatment guidelines to support determinations.
- Use an online portal to access organized records and complete reviews.
- Support timely completion and delivery of review reports.
Required
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Current, unrestricted Indiana medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Completion of required orientation and training.
- Maintenance of applicable credentialing, licenses, and certifications.
Preferred
- Specialty training or experience in one of the listed review areas.
- Pediatric subspecialty experience, if practicing in pediatrics.
