This telework role involves conducting independent medical record reviews and preparing clinical summaries for advisory case determinations, with a focus on specialties such as OB/GYN, allergy and immunology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, rheumatology, infectious disease, podiatry, pain medicine, gerontology, and reproductive endocrinology/infertility. The work centers on responding to client questions and participating in peer-to-peer communication rather than providing direct patient care. It is a 1099 contractor position with flexible scheduling and case selection based on availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and evaluate clinical cases.
- Prepare concise clinical summaries based on chart evidence.
- Respond to specific questions submitted by clients.
- Participate in peer communications related to case review.
- Select services and case types based on scheduled availability.
- Work within an advisory-only review model with no direct treatment or patient relationship.
- Use the provided work portal to review organized case materials and guidelines.
Required
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Completion of required orientation and training.
- Maintenance of credentialing, state licenses, and any required certifications.
