This telework role focuses on reviewing medical oncology cases, evaluating medical records, and providing clinical summaries and advisory opinions for client questions. The work is non-treatment based and centers on peer-to-peer communication and case review rather than direct patient care. Schedule and case volume are flexible within a 1099 independent contractor model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of oncology clinical cases and supporting medical records.
- Provide clear clinical summaries and written determinations based on the record.
- Engage in peer communications and answer case-specific questions from clients.
- Use treatment guidelines and organized record sets to support review decisions.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training for review workflows and standards.
Required
- Board certification in Medical Oncology.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Current credentialing, state licensure, and any other required certifications.
- Ability to attend required orientation and training.
Preferred
- Experience with medical record review or utilization review.
- Prior telework or remote consulting experience.
