Description

This role focuses on remote, advisory-only cardiology case reviews, with the physician evaluating medical records, preparing clinical summaries, and answering client questions. It is suited to a board-certified cardiologist who prefers telework and flexible, case-based work rather than direct patient care. The work includes peer-to-peer communication and support for utilization review or medical determination processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of clinical cases and medical records.
  • Provide concise clinical summaries based on chart review findings.
  • Engage in peer communications and respond to client questions.
  • Evaluate cardiology-related cases and apply treatment guidelines when making determinations.
  • Use the work portal to review organized records and complete reports.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training related to review workflows.
Required
  • Board certification in Cardiology.
  • Current, unrestricted New Mexico medical license.
  • At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
  • Ability to complete required orientation and training.
  • Maintain required credentialing, licenses, and certifications for the role.
Preferred
  • Experience with medical record review or advisory case review work.
  • Prior remote or telework experience.
