Conduct medical record reviews for cardiology cases, provide clinical summaries, and answer client questions in an advisory-only, telework setting. This role focuses on peer-to-peer style review of clinical cases rather than direct patient care or treatment. The work is contractor-based and supports flexible scheduling, with cases selected according to availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of cardiology medical records and clinical cases.
- Provide clear clinical summaries based on the reviewed records.
- Engage in peer communications to clarify findings and support case determinations.
- Answer specific questions posed by clients about the medical evidence.
- Use a web-based portal to review organized records and treatment guidelines.
- Support quality and timely completion of written determinations and reports.
Required
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Current, unrestricted Minnesota medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Ability to attend required orientation and training.
- Maintenance of appropriate credentialing, state licensure, and required certifications.
Preferred
- Experience with clinical case review or utilization review.
- Familiarity with advisory-only, non-treatment medical opinions.
