This role focuses on remote, advisory-only dental case reviews rather than direct patient care. The clinician evaluates medical/dental records, prepares clinical summaries, and responds to client questions and peer-to-peer communications. Work is conducted as a 1099 independent contractor with schedule flexibility and case volume chosen by the reviewer.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of clinical cases and medical/dental records.
- Provide clinical summaries and written determinations based on record review.
- Respond to specific questions posed by clients regarding case findings.
- Engage in peer communications as part of the review process.
- Use a web-based portal to review organized records and treatment guidelines.
- Participate in initial and ongoing training related to case review workflows.
Required
- Board certification in Dentistry.
- Current, unrestricted dental license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Ability to attend required orientation and training.
- Maintenance of appropriate credentialing, state licensure, and other required certifications.
Preferred
- Experience with medical record review or peer review work.
- Familiarity with advisory-only consulting or utilization review workflows.
