This role focuses on reviewing forensic pathology cases in a telework, independent-contractor setting. The clinician evaluates medical records, prepares clinical summaries, and answers case-specific questions for clients through peer-to-peer communication.
The work is centered on medical-legal or disability peer review rather than direct patient care. Support functions include case preparation, transcription services as needed, client communication, and report delivery oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of clinical cases and medical records.
- Provide clinical summaries based on the reviewed documentation.
- Engage in peer communications to discuss case findings.
- Answer specific questions posed by clients.
- Use prepared case materials to complete reports in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with support teams for scheduling, referrals, and client communications.
Required
- Board certification.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Ability to complete required orientation and training.
- Ability to maintain required credentialing, state licenses, and certifications.
