This telework role centers on reviewing otolaryngology cases, evaluating medical records, and providing clinical summaries and answers to client questions. The work is focused on peer-to-peer review and case assessment rather than direct patient care, with schedule flexibility as a 1099 independent contractor. Support is provided for case preparation, transcription as needed, client communication, and report delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of medical records for otolaryngology cases
- Provide concise clinical summaries based on the record review
- Participate in peer communications and answer client-specific questions
- Evaluate clinical cases to support healthcare assessments
- Use a telework workflow to complete assigned reviews independently
- Coordinate with support staff for case preparation and report delivery
Required
- Board certification in Otolaryngology
- Current, unrestricted medical license
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience
- Active clinical practice experience
- Completion of required orientation and training
- Maintenance of credentialing, state licenses, and any required certifications
Preferred
- Experience performing medical record reviews or peer review work
- Experience working in a telework or remote contractor setting
