Conduct disability peer reviews from home, evaluating medical records and issuing advisory opinions on disability claims. This is a non-treatment, non-patient-care role focused on clinical decision-making for disability determinations rather than direct care. The work is contract-based with flexible scheduling and a streamlined review workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review disability claims and related medical records to form independent medical opinions.
- Provide advisory-only determinations without establishing a doctor-patient relationship.
- Use a user-friendly work portal to complete reviews and documentation.
- Coordinate with administrative support teams that organize records and communication.
- Follow turnaround-time expectations for case completion and report delivery.
- Participate in case selection and volume planning based on scheduled availability.
- Complete initial training and use ongoing support for review questions.
Required
- Board certification.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
