Provide independent medical record reviews for claimants as a board-certified neurological surgeon, offering expert, advisory-only opinions on current condition and future medical needs. This is a record-review-only role with no face-to-face patient care or treatment. Cases are fully remote, with flexible scheduling and written reports supported by a streamlined review workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of prepared medical records.
- Provide advisory-only opinions on the claimant’s condition and potential future medical needs.
- Respond to clinical questions to support claims management and utilization review.
- Deliver clear, well-supported written reports within the expected turnaround time.
- Work without in-person claimant interaction in a record-review-only setting.
- Use a prepped-case workflow and online portal to complete assigned reviews.
Required
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent written communication abilities.
Preferred
- Prior experience with medical record reviews.
- Prior experience with IMEs or peer reviews.
