This role involves conducting independent medical record reviews for claimants with neurological conditions, providing expert advisory opinions on current status and potential future medical needs. The work is fully remote, record-review only, and centers on producing clear written reports that support claims management. It is a flexible 1099 contract opportunity with no direct patient care or treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of prepared medical records
- Provide advisory opinions on a claimant’s current condition and anticipated future medical needs
- Respond to clinical questions that support claims management and utilization review
- Deliver clear, well-supported written reports within the expected turnaround time
- Use the online portal and prepared case materials to complete assigned reviews
- Participate in an independent, record-review-only workflow with no face-to-face claimant interaction
Required
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery
- Experience and training in neurological surgery
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills for medical record review

- Prior experience with medical record reviews
- Prior experience with IMEs
- Prior experience with peer reviews
