Conduct telework-based disability peer reviews, evaluating claims and medical records to provide advisory opinions from home. This work is focused on clinical decision-making rather than patient treatment, with no doctor-patient relationship established. The role is contract-based and allows physicians to select cases and work according to scheduled availability, with administrative support and a streamlined review workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review disability claims and associated medical records to prepare independent peer opinions
- Provide advisory-only determinations without establishing a treatment relationship
- Evaluate cases using a user-friendly online portal and structured review workflow
- Coordinate with administrative support teams that organize records and communication
- Produce timely review reports within expected turnaround times
- Use scheduled availability to select case types and manage review volume
Required
- Board certification
- Current, unrestricted medical license
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience
