Key Responsibilities
- Conduct disability peer reviews and evaluate claims using medical records and case materials.
- Provide advisory-only opinions rather than direct patient treatment or a doctor-patient relationship.
- Review cases within assigned turnaround times and document determinations/reports.
- Use a work portal to complete reviews and manage case flow efficiently.
- Coordinate with the support team for record organization, communication, and administrative processing.
- Participate in an independent consultant workflow with case volume and service selection based on availability.
- Apply clinical judgment to assess case-specific medical information.
Required
- Board certification.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience.
