Beyond the core rheumatology review work, the role may involve evaluating supporting medical records and contributing determinations/reports within a structured review process. Administrative coordination, case preparation, and communication are handled through a streamlined workflow so time is concentrated on clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct disability peer reviews for rheumatology cases.
- Review medical records and related case materials to support advisory opinions.
- Provide no-treatment, non-patient-care determinations based on documentation review.
- Use a web-based work portal to manage assigned cases and turnaround expectations.
- Participate in a coordinated review process with administrative support for case preparation and communication.
- Document and deliver timely review reports and determinations.
Required
- Board certification in Rheumatology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
