The clinician reviews hematology cases remotely, evaluating medical records and providing advisory clinical summaries and answers to client questions. This work is focused on peer review rather than direct patient care, and no treatment or doctor-patient relationship is established. The role uses a structured case flow with administrative support, training, and peer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of hematology clinical cases and medical records.
- Provide written clinical summaries and advisory opinions based on the record.
- Answer specific questions submitted by clients during the review process.
- Engage in peer-to-peer communications as needed for case clarification.
- Use the case portal and organized medical records to complete reviews efficiently.
- Coordinate with administrative support for timely delivery of determinations and reports.
Required
- Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience and active practice.
- Ability to complete required orientation and training.
- Maintain credentialing, state licenses, and any required certifications.

- Prior peer review or medical record review experience.
