This role focuses on remote medical record review for disability peer cases, where the clinician evaluates clinical documentation, prepares clinical summaries, and answers client questions. The work is advisory only and does not involve direct patient care or treatment. It is a 1099 independent contractor position with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of medical records and clinical cases.
- Provide clinical summaries based on chart review findings.
- Participate in peer-to-peer communications related to case review.
- Answer specific questions submitted by clients.
- Support disability peer review determinations with clinical judgment.
- Work within a streamlined case management portal and organized record workflow.
Required
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- Board certification in Colon & Rectal Surgery.
- At least 5 years of clinical practice or active practice.
Preferred
- Experience conducting disability peer reviews.
