The physician will perform independent medical examinations and peer reviews, primarily reviewing cases and seeing patients in person for objective, defensible evaluations. Work is case-based and advisory only, with no treatment or ongoing doctor-patient relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person independent medical examinations.
- Perform comprehensive peer reviews of medical records.
- Provide detailed, timely written reports.
- Maintain compliance with AMA 6th edition guidelines.
- Manage case timelines independently.
- Use a user-friendly work portal and transcription support for case workflow.
Required
- Active, unrestricted medical license.
- US board-certified or board-eligible physician.
- AMA 6th Edition certified, or willing to become certified.
- Prior IME and/or peer review experience.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience with independent medical examinations.
- Prior experience with peer review or utilization review.
