The Medical Director will lead asynchronous, fully virtual primary care for a broad adult patient population, helping shape clinical strategy and physician-led use of AI in care delivery. This role sits at the intersection of direct clinical leadership and operational oversight, with responsibility for building clinical processes that support scalable, high-quality virtual care. The position works closely with executive, product, and compliance teams and includes mentoring and developing Clinical Leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical strategy for an AI-enabled, virtual primary care model.
- Oversee asynchronous care workflows for patients across a broad geographic footprint.
- Partner with executive, product, and compliance teams on clinical operations and responsible AI integration.
- Develop and mentor Clinical Leads to support team growth and clinical quality.
- Help define standards for physician-led virtual care delivery.
- Contribute to scaling clinical services within a fully virtual medical group.
Required
- Physician licensure and eligibility to practice medicine.
- Experience in primary care or a closely related outpatient clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership experience.
- Experience working with or leading clinical teams.
Preferred
- Experience in virtual, asynchronous, or telehealth care delivery.
- Experience with AI-enabled clinical workflows or digital health models.
- Prior physician leadership or medical director experience.
- Experience collaborating with product and compliance teams.
