Teach BSN nursing students online in a part-time faculty role, leading asynchronous discussions and synchronous live lectures in pathophysiology. The work centers on helping students understand disease processes, clinical manifestations, complications, and factors that influence wellness. Faculty also provide timely support, feedback, and remediation through email, online conferencing, or telephone.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online teaching for BSN students through asynchronous discussions and weekly live lectures.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and academic support to students in an online learning environment.
- Evaluate student performance and deliver documented feedback based on course objectives.
- Correct and return assignments, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
- Coordinate remediation for students as needed and communicate student concerns to the course coordinator.
- Participate in course, program, and college assessment, retention, and policy implementation efforts.
- Collaborate with administration, staff, and faculty to support college operations and student satisfaction.
- Model professional behavior, communication, collaboration, and customer service for students and colleagues.
Required
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Unencumbered Illinois RN licensure.
- Strong communication skills with sound judgment and initiative.
- Subject matter expertise in the teaching area.
Preferred
- Experience teaching students in an online or remote format.
- Multi-State (Compact) RN licensure.
- Experience building student relationships and delivering instruction through online tools.
